What is LIET?

LIET is a patented new light fitting available in a range of light outputs, colour temperatures, sizes and styles.

Primarily designed to replace downlighters, general spot lights and many fluorescent tube applications, LIET can be deployed as a direct replacement for halogen downlighters utlising existing holes, retro-fitted into directional light fittings such as the AR 111, or used in a grid to replace the conventional 600x600 / 1200x600 fluorescent tube box light.

LIET will become the new ‘LIET Bulb.’

Why do we call it the LIET engine?

Unlike most other LED lights on the market, LIET is truly intelligent and contains all the required hardware and software – built into the heatsink circuit board.

The LIET engine incorporates the most efficient ‘power LEDs’ in the world, coupled with LIET CORP’s patented ‘intelligent’ light technology to deliver the highest quality light output, at astonishingly low power consumption levels. Gone is the compromise of fluorescent and compact fluorescent bulbs that have blighted business for so long.  Your customers and employees can experience a light quality that is unrivalled.

The results are in:

  1. a much improved customer experience: goods show their true colours.
  2. employees are more productive: headaches, errors due to substandard lighting etc are a thing of the past
  3. choice of colour temperatures, (warm white, bright white, or cool white)

So why are the light majors so worried?

Because there is now an LED light available that delivers a quality of light that shows up the compromise that we have been 'sold', that is CFL lighting and the lower quality LED solutions. Moreover, LIET can run for up to 34 years without replacement (10 hours per day, 365 days per year). Therefore maintenance costs are zero for most customers' normal workspace lifespan. The lighting majors make most of their money by the supply of ongoing replacement bulbs.
